Tamkeen continues to present its initiatives to the Bahraini community

Tamkeen has been working the community circuit to spread the message of enabling and empowering Bahrainis and the Kingdom’s private sector to the Bahraini community.

Tamkeen has presented its initiatives to the Arabian Gulf University, the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) and to the University of Bahrain. Tamkeen has also presented its Strategy Initiatives for 2010-2014 to the Financial committee of the Representatives Council and to the members of the Shura Council. In addition, key members of the Tamkeen team have also been making valuable presentations to Al Noor Charity Society, Al-Hidd Charity Society, Shaikh Khalifa Institute of Technology, Islamic Front Society in Riffa.

As part of the Vision 2030 action plan, Tamkeen plans and implements the different layers of the action plan of the economic reform  through various initiatives such as enterprise development schemes, entrepreneur loan schemes. Also Tamkeen has signed a number of training agreements in areas as varied as healthcare to accounting to aeronautics and the commissioning of surveys and data collection to identify labour market needs.

Tamkeen has built a methodology based on co-operative team effort from all stakeholders, an experiment which has worked well in other countries such as  Hong Kong, Japan, most of Europe and North America, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

“Tamkeen continues to present its initiatives, objectives, strategies and resources to the Bahraini community,” Tamkeen Marketing Communications Manager Hala Suleiman said, “Since our establishment, we have worked closely with the community to address different segments. Our aim is to inspire action and get Bahrainis to be part of the country’s vision 2030, through developing themselves and their enterprises.”

Over the past year, Tamkeen has launched programmes and projects targeting more than 20,000 Bahrainis giving these young men and women internationally certified and professional subsidised training opportunities, and offering 5,000 enterprises with business loans and training options that will change their lives. Tamkeen has put forward investments worth more than BD50 million since its inception for private sector support and human capital development programmes.
